"James Ewing of Kent County Delaware" in Kent Co. Wills Liber K Folio 198-99, dated March 2, 1759 requests that "Daniel Finney be his executor"...the date of the Administration is the same, March 2, 1759. The Archives of Kent Co. DE Volume A-16 pp 233-4 show that Mary Ewing, widow of James, married Daniel Finney following the execution of the will. The names of their children were: Robert, Frances and Elizabeth.
James Ewing of Kent Co. Delaware lived just across the Delaware River from Thomas, William and Robert Ewing of New Jersey. He is the ONLY James Ewing in the same time frame who could be the son of Findley Ewing, based on the research of Margaret Ewing Fife. 31
